President Joe and First Lady Jill Biden are the parents of Ashley Blazer Biden, an American social worker, activist, philanthropist, and fashion designer who was born on June 8, 1981. 

Biden previously worked as the executive director of the Delaware Center for Justice from 2014 to 2019, after which she founded the fashion brand Livelihood, which raises funds for community initiatives aimed at ending income inequality in the country through partnerships with online retailer Gilt Groupe. Livelihood made its debut at New York Fashion Week in 2017.


Early life and family: Biden is the half-sister of Beau, Hunter, and Naomi Biden, her father's children from his first marriage to Neilia Hunter. She is also a great-great-granddaughter of Edward Francis Blewitt. On her father's side, Biden is of English, French, and Irish descent; on her mother's side, she is of English, Scottish, and Italian descent.

Ashley Blazer Biden was born in Wilmington, Delaware, on June 8, 1981[1][2]. Her parents are Jill Biden, the future First Lady, and Joe Biden, who also served as Second Lady and Vice President of the United States, respectively.

Biden was brought up as a Catholic and baptized at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine in Greenville, Delaware.Her mother was an educator, and her father was a Delaware senator.


Biden attended Tulane University to study cultural anthropology. As a freshman, she worked as a camp counselor at Girls Incorporated, which is now Kingswood Academy.

She also interned at a summer program at Georgetown University, where she worked with youth from Anacostia. Following graduation, Biden briefly worked as a waitress in Wilmington before beginning her career in social work.

She moved to Kensington, Philadelphia, and began working as a clinical support specialist at the Northwestern Human Services Children's Reach Clinic, where she helped youth and their families access resources and collaborated directly with psychiatrists and therapists. In 2010, she earned a master's degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Policy and Practice.
